When returning to work today talking about the holidays was a common occurrence. My one friend drove down to see her boyfriend in NC. She had the children Christmas eve then dropped them off at her EX-husbands house for the rest of the week. Unfortunately when I was speaking with her I commented on how great it was that her husband had the children on her break from work. Lucky for me she thought it was funny.
The thought of dropping the kids off at the husbands, to drive out to the boyfriends house, Sigh. My dad loves to say that words have meanings. I have to admit that they do and though it can be funny when someone speaks incorrectly, it could also seriously offend. I just don't seem to hear the mistake and many times I don't even realize what I said until someone points it out to me.
