Bright Idea's

I awake this morning and wrote my directions to DC. Unfortunately Pat did not like g-map's directions. He said I should take 295 all the way down to the bridge, which then merges/changes into I95. As I was driving down Rt 1 I see that I can hit 95 as well as 295. I figured if it was a good thing to just skip the jump to 95 part way through NJ, taking 95 from the beginning would be a even better thing after all it runs parallel to 295 and I end up on 95 anyway.

Apparently there are 2 95's in NJ. I95 and the NJ turnpike.

Anyway part way down 95 I realized I was heading into PA. So I called Pat.

'remember how you said to skip the jump from 295 to 95?'

'what did you do' pat says mistrustfully

'well from rt 1 you can also hit rt 95'

'NO! you didn't' (he actually cut me off)

'well if I was going to end up on it anyway, isn't that your lessen from this morning?'

'Don't blame this on me!' (silly husband your always to blame).

'Well If you hadn't wanted me to stray from the directions. . .'

'this is not my fault' he says.

'yes it is so help me fix it'

He did and I made it in 4 hours. But the excitement had just begun. As I walk into the building and up to the elevator I see a guy pushing a baby stroller. I almost didn't look at him at all but I looked at his Wife, My sister in law. I looked over at David wondering how/why/what (I was confused). Zach is just under one month old and I couldn't believe they would drive 11 hours with him. Lucky for me I was wrong!! They came out to surprise Grandpa for his 90th birthday. Apparently the whole family was surprised not just Grandpa. I did get shown up arriving at the apartment Judy answered the door expecting me and flipped that they had brought the baby. I don't blame her the baby takes top billing despite the fact that he likes to pee all over everyone.

Poor Lillie is unable to travel so she was the only one who couldn't make it. She was very upset. But we celebrated Grandpa's birthday and had a great time (wishing Lillie could be here with us).

Boy am I glad my cold went away fast!
