Valkyrie

Pat and I went to see a movie today. As you can tell by the title the movie we saw was Valkyrie. I think Tom makes an outstanding Nazi, something about his recently acquired crazy person Image makes me buy it. I liked the movie. It seemed to stay true to the history that I remember though I'm not sure if the end/taking control of the army was accurate (that seemed like movie drama). but it added to the story and was a good explanation as to why the assassin didn't just leave Germany. Apparently his wife lived a long and happy life, most likely because Hitler was over thrown 9 months after the attempt. Hitler had luck on his side as their were many attempts on his life, most missed him by luck.

If you go to see the movie it may be best to be slightly familiar with the story. But don't' study it in detail or you may be disappointed. The major points were accurate but it's a movie they always have to add some additional drama.
