Well after 3 years I have relapsed (no fault of my own I must add). My colitis is back, I knew it would eventually come back it just sucks that it came back when Pat was out of town (don’t worry he came back to care for me as soon as he could). I’m back on more pills and other medication (whose gory details will not be discussed). It depresses me that I will probably not be able to go back to the 6 pill/day routine again. I really dislike taking all of those pills, oh what am I complaining about its only one extra dose.
I’m actually surprised that it’s taking so long to get back into remission (not that I’ve given it a lot of time, but it seems as though the first time the worst of the symptoms disappeared right away, this time it’s taking longer. (Unless the 3 years have made my brain foggy) but in this case I’m pretty sure I got immediate gratification from all of the medication last time.

The Joke
I went to the store yesterday to purchase a shower gift for a friend. I found a great deal at Carters for a 5 pack of really cute onesies (I think that’s what they are called). As I was checking out I also found a cute one for my nephew. Anyway my husband was out late studying for a certification test so I had plenty of time to scheme. . .
Earlier that morning he had mentioned having a baby, (we had agreed that we would not have children but I think he was messing with me). Anyway I thought it would be cute to hang up Dylan’s new outfit on the closet so he could see it when he came in. And as planned he questioned why I was buying baby cloths, so I told him that we should start trying, It was supposed to be funny and make him realize we are not financially ready for kids. Unfortunately he had a bad day and was in no mood to joke (or even talk about having kids). Poor Pat if I had known it was such a bad day I would have skipped the baby joke. Luckily he wasn’t pissed, just annoyed.
I shouldn’t admit this but I still think it was funny.

My Rabies Saga (the sequal)
Ok so late March I picked up whom I thought was my neighbors cat to return him/her home, it bit me. As it was biting me I realized that this cat was indeed not my neighbors. It is a cat that belongs in the neighborhood and is a pet (it has a flea collar on). But I have no idea how to find it. So everything was fine until I got stressed about doing the taxes (we owe a lot of money) and I realized the bite was 3 weeks ago. I could come down with rabies any day now. Getting the shot is pointless now though I think I will go in for the pre-bite shot. This is my 2 nd bite from a strange animal and I thought I had learned my lessen. Apparently not (I didn't get the shot the first time either). The first time it was a stray but we caught it and he was fine, I wanted to adopt him and name him Rabies, but we had the rats. I know this cat did not have rabies but when I'm stressed my hypochondriac tendencies come out and drive me crazy.
I should mention that i become a hypochondriac when stressed

Catching up
It is strange reading my old blog. It has made me realize that 1) I have been out of remission for almost a full year! My how fast time goes, but after the Colonoscopy last month and new meds all around hopefully it’ll be under control. So far, so good. And 2) I should blog more often!
Proudly I am an Aunt!! B gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, DK in January. We went for a visit when he was one week old. He was so small and adorable. I can’t wait to see him again. He is 4 months already and I hear he has grown allot. (I would love to see some Photo’s)
We were supposed to go home in May for Grandpa M’s birthday but Pat has a work thing that we have to go to. Well at least it should be fun, though I’m sad we’ll miss the birthday, they don’t do it all that often. Hopefully we will make it up to Roch in May, then we can see DK and Gpa M.
